101st Street Deserves Transit Lanes
Everyday, 30,000 Edmontonians rely on bus routes that travel along 101st Street to get to work, school, access health appointments, and run errands. While this route from Jasper Avenue to Kingsway has been identified by the City of Edmonton as deserving transit priority measures, they have decided NOT to build transit lanes from 103rd to 107th Avenues (Over half of the corridor!)
These buses are currently facing serious congestion, with the bus routes that run between 103rd and 107th Avenues having an on-time performance of only 67%!

If we don’t want buses and emergency vehicles stuck in the already bad and worsening traffic, we need to make sure that transit lanes get built all the way from Jasper Ave to Kingsway this summer, without a massive hole in the middle.
We are asking that the City of Edmonton:
- Includes transit lanes for the ENTIRE identified stretch of road between Jasper Avenue and Kingsway, and
- Designs for priority measures along this corridor are released to the public before the final designs are approved
- Complete the project within the original timeline of summer 2025
